Hi, and Welcome to FRESH BERRIES: The blog behind the business, where craft meets the market!

"The business" referred to is actually two businesses:

* DURGA WALKER, Author, where I write and market my fiction. First up: a coming-of-age novel with a touch of magic.

* FRESH BERRIES Bead Art, where I make and sell loom-woven jewelry, bags, sun catchers and an array of beaded wonders.

Fresh Berries (the blog) helps me process the unfamiliar world of marketing my craft. It also follows the grand experiment of how to become a success.

I started Fresh Berries when I moved from Mexico to Missouri and needed to write...softly and gently...to heal my heart. Today, I'm building two businesses that are growing from who I am (writer, artist, small-town newspaper journalist, lover of Lucy the Cat) and what I do (write novels and weave beads).

I'm also pushing 60 pretty hard, and I'm here to tell you it's never too late. But don't wait.
